* Although How-To-Safety is NOT a free service, our goal is to help prevent child injuries and deaths!  We do not want to discourage parents and caregivers from getting potentially lifesaving help due to service costs.  When it comes to paying for our time and expertise, if you are unable to pay our suggested rates in full, you can use them as a guide to making a payment that fits your budget. Please inform us if you are unable to pay our rates in full when you are scheduling your appointment. 

** Quick Check:  Feel that you are already knowledgeable about  car seat safety, you have read your manuals before installing, and your installation is already correct? If you just want our professionals to check it, so you can know for sure, you can schedule us for a Quick Car Seat Checkup. This type of appointment should typically not exceed 15 minutes during which a CPST will check that the installation and use is correct, and give some quick pointers on any minor adjustments that need to be made, and provide helpful take-home materials. However, if your installation requires critical changes, or the appointment takes anywhere between 30-90 minutes, it is no longer a Quick Check.

Making a payment

For your convenience, you may pay for our service via credit card, debit card, or Paypal account. We can accept cash payments at the time of your appointment.
  1. Select one of our services from the drop down menu and click the Add to Cart button. You will be directed to Paypal to make a payment via credit card, debit card, or Paypal account. *Please note:  The top of your shopping cart will display "DevelopAll Inc.".
    • If you need to select more than one service, click Continue Shopping in the paypal window to return back to this page. Once you choose another service, you will again be directed to paypal where both services will now appear in Your Shopping Cart. 
  2. Once you complete your payment, a confirmation email will be sent to you from paypal. 
  3. How-To-Safety will confirm that your payment was received within 1-2 days, or sooner upon request.

How-To-SAFETY schedule and cancellation policy: 

  • Appointments are available for 7 days a week. Same-day appointments may be available. 
  • Please give us 24 hour notice if you are unable to keep your appointment time. We will do all that we can to accommodate you. This policy is in place to account for our time spent in preparation for your appointment, as well as us being unable to accommodate another family during your appointment time.  
    • You may reschedule your appointment with no additional fee when you give us 24 hour notice of your cancellation. 
    • No-shows, or cancellations with less than 24 hour notice, are subject to an additional cancellation fee of $20 to set another appointment time. To reschedule, you will be required to advance purchase the car seat installation service, plus the additional cancellation fee.  Please refer to payment instructions above. 
  • If you are running late, and can not be reached, we will wait up to 20 minutes. If you are running late, simply contact us and we will do all that we can to minimize the need to reschedule your appointment.

Best Practice Policy and Restrictions
**Please NOTE:  How-to-SAFETY does not advocate unsafe or unlawful practices. You will be encouraged to use your child restraint in a way that reflects best practices as per American Academy of Pediatrics and NHTSA, using guidelines that are safest for child passengers and more stringent than the state law minimums. Adhering to Best Practices is a parental choice, however, How-To-SAFETY will not assist with any child restraint installation that goes against state laws, or vehicle and/or child restraint manufacturer instructions. This includes, but not limited to, forward facing, using a booster, or seat belt too soon, AND/OR using any seat past expiration date.
